We Are Not Amused

A collection of extracts from the Journal of Queen Victoria and from the works of those artists mentioned in them. This was a period of great entertainers in the concert hall and the theatre. Oscar Wilde, Sir Henry Irving & Dame Ellen Terry, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Tosti and Dame Melba, the Brontė sisters, Mrs.. Beeton, Arthur Conan Doyle, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Gilbert & Sullivan, and many more. The Queen met very many of these famous artists who performed at her Royal Command. Six actors, a singer and a pianist perform this fast-moving celebration of the reign of Victoria from her coronation to her funeral. 3m, 3f + singer & pianist

Commissioned for the Sheffield Festival and performed in the Crucible Theatre Studio.

Hysterical History

Hysterical History is a collection of well-known events in history told in an unlikely, racy style, with wise-cracking pace. From Adam and Eve to the present day - and beyond! This is history as you wouldnt want it taught to your children! Nothing is sacred! The fifty-four episodes can be played by a company of actors of all ages and mixed abilities, but who are masters of one-liners, the double entendre and quick costume change. The pieces can be performed as mixn match episodes to suit the company concerned.
